Today I picked my first plump green pods of the cowpea "Joyner Butter Bean" that is simply too tough to eat raw, even when VERY young, so I just boiled them for maybe ten minutes, drained, tossed them with a splash of coconut oil and soy sauce and ate them like edamame soybeans.....DELICIOUS! The folks that mailed me the seeds after finding my blog feel it is a stable hybrid of Whippoorwill and Iron Clay. I have a small number of seeds to share......VERY vigorous grower!!
