The "EcoFarm Replicating Onion" that Debbie and Jon Butts grow and sell is doing fine here despite minimal input and care. I'm going to give them some of my "nutrient soup" and a deep watering to see how they do. More petite than my strain of Allium fistulosum, does not die back, has yet to flower, this spring sent up a few viviparous stalks that did not "walk" nor make bulbils. The leaves have great scallion flavor. I have very high hopes for this as a truly perennial onion for central Florida. I bought the original clump from them at Twilight Market and will soon lift a clump, divide it, and plant some in Water Wise Container Gardens where conditions are lush.
