I had mixed feelings about the very deep watering I gave the Chipilin plant given me by Josh Jamison maybe a week ago as it was doing well in an 18 gallon Water Wise Container Garden and it hails from dry Mexico...but it has taken off big time, vigorously sending out vegetative shoots, young flower spikes, open flower spikes and ripening pods all at the same time...even the seedlings I sowed around the mother plant are suddenly growing faster. I will be curious to see how they perform this summer.
