Like the kenaf strain 'Whitten', 'Everglades 41' has broad leaves vs. cannabisy ones that are tender and good for eating raw or cooked, with a bit of a sour tang that I think is due mainly to citric and ascorbic acids, maybe some oxalic acid too. I am struck by how much the blooms of the kenafs resemble those of both okra and cotton. I think that Abelmoschus manihot cultivars make similar blooms too.
