Katuray

When I first moved here my Filipino neighbor Joe gave me seeds of this very tropical tree veggie, but a few years later I lost the tree to a combination of drought and a hard freeze. My new gardening friend Michael in Lake Wales that I met via FaceBook before meeting in real life for a plant swap some weeks ago says he may have seeds of it to share. Plus I will check www.tradewindsfruit.com for seeds there too. Attached is a pic of a pink katuray tree I spotted behind Dad's and my hotel on Key West during one of our trips there. Filipino's treasure the blooms in several dishes, plus I think the blooms are lovely.
