More rain for my south Tampa gardens!

Last night's storm here in south Tampa gave me 2.75 inches of rain, no wind damage, just a few objects blown over, though some folks I know had local flooding. That much rain will do wonders for newly seeded efforts here, plus my revamped northeast bed by the street will love it. Tuesday night my neighborhood is supposed to get 38 degrees....might damage my papayas and passion fruit vines. I hope that everyone else is okay in the area.

My driveway and northeast bed today....not visible in the bed's compost are many thousands of seedlings of three brassica varieties, white alyssum, snapdragons, nasturtiums and California poppies. Once I finish painting the giant vase on the right I am filling it with red petunias.

Paul Zmoda got these pics during Sunday's Tampa Rare Fruit Council meeting about citrus greening...what varieties to plant and which not to. No wonder my own root Meyer's Lemons have done well for a dozen years now. John
